Christa miles-Harris
Owner, Co-Founder
Every dancer understands the "no’s" come more often than the "yes’s." Christa Harris founded the ANTI Foundation to change that narrative. Originally hailing from Southside Jamaica Queens, New York, and now a force in the Houston dance scene, Christa Harris has spent over 25 years living and breathing the art of movement. Her own career wasn't built on just one style; it was built on her unique ability to be a "chameleon"—mastering genre-fusion and understanding that a dancer’s marketability comes from their versatility.
With a training background ranging from ballet, lyrical, and hip hop; leading to a commercial dance career working with artists such as Nas and Justin Bieber; finally excelling in the studio and competitive dance scene as a choreographer, teacher and production lead- she knows that "making it" requires more than just a great 8-count. After decades of providing instruction, she recognized a gap in how we prepare pre-professionals for the industry and quality of life. ANTI is her answer to that gap—a foundation built to provide the holistic support she knows is vital for a lasting career.
One of Christa’s unicorn qualities is her rare perspective that comes from outside the studio. With a Bachelor’s in Biology and professional career as a CV Surgical Assistant, Senior Clinical Cancer Researcher, and certification in Mental Health First Aid, she brings a clinical depth to her coaching. By combining her dance instruction and medical expertise, she hopes to provide pre-professional dancers with the holistic tools they need to break the mold.
Through ANTI her vision as founder is to continuously expose diverse training, expand the definition of success, and encourage every mover to learn “beyond the pointe” and cofidently forge their unique path.
